Consumer Goods New Highs: Archer Daniels Midland (NYSE:ADM), Anheuser Busch Inbev (NYSE:BUD), British American Tobacco (NYSEMKT:BTI), Adecoagro (NYSE:AGRO)

With the ever expanding market and increasing demand for protein, Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE:ADM) has also turned a new leaf. It announced the plans for constructing the next soy protein complex. It has chosen to do so in Campo Grande, Brazil with a huge investment of over US$250 million. Although there is an existing soy processing facility, however ADM feels they both would complement each other. The new complex will deal with the production of protein concentrates and is believed to serve more to the customers. Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE:ADM) shares after opening at $44.55 moved to $44.81 on last trade day and at the end of the day closed at $44.69. Company price to sales ratio in past twelve months was calculated as 0.33 and price to cash ratio as 8.25. Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE:ADM) showed a positive weekly performance of 2.50%.

Yesterday, shares of Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE:BUD) have crossed bullishly above their 10-day moving average of $106.50 on a volume of 653K shares. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA (ADR) (NYSE:BUD) shares advanced 2.49% in last trading session and ended the day on $108.23. BUD return on equity ratio is recorded as 33.30% and its return on assets is 11.20%. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA (ADR) (NYSE:BUD) yearly performance is 13.59%.

Altria Group Inc (MO), Reynolds American Inc (RAI), Lorillard Inc (LO), and British American British American Tobacco PLC (ADR) (NYSEMKT:BTI) will likely be revisiting their decision to enter the e-cigarette industry, as the World Health Organization reportedly plans to regulate e-cigarettes in the same way traditional tobacco products are. The planned regulation comes in light of fears that tobacco usage will “renormalize” as more people start using e-cigarettes, and that current antismoking laws like advertising bans would be undermined. British American Tobacco PLC (ADR) (NYSEMKT:BTI) shares moved up 1.81% in last trading session and was closed at $115.42, while trading in range of $114.84-$115.82. British American Tobacco PLC (ADR) (NYSEMKT:BTI) year to date performance is 10.73%.

In a report published Friday, Morgan Stanley analyst Javier Martinez de Olcoz Cerdan reiterated an Overweight rating and $13.30 price target on Adecoagro SA (NYSE:AGRO). Adecoagro SA (NYSE:AGRO) weekly performance is 8.94%. On last trading day company shares ended up $8.90. Adecoagro SA (NYSE:AGRO) distance from 50-day simple moving average is 12.64%. Analysts mean target price for the company is $10.75.
