Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) Created Its Own Email Address For Its Users

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has reportedly created mail addresses for its users with the url @facebook.com to get its users closer and easier to locate.

The social network site had provided an email address for its users ending with @facebook.com and this as per the Company will provide a better view of the user’s timeline along an easy and hassle free identity location on the growing social network site.

This step will definitely push up the Company’s revenue as the Company is seeking to get everyone to use the @facebook email addresses that they have. This email address app if running on a mobile phone then the app will automatically find the contacts using Facebook account. On identification by the Facebook app the email address will automatically get “upgraded” to the @facebook one.

FB is also reported to be having meetings with GM for mending their May 2012 fallout when GM had withdrawn its advertising from Facebook Inc. The Company had been receiving around $10 million from GM for the advertising on the social network site in addition to a $30 million payment received for creating and maintaining web pages for GM.

Facebook Inc. is scheduled to report its second quarter results on July 26, 2012. The Company will be reporting its quarterly results after the IPO fallout it had created. The fall out was based on investors’ fears of the Company’s future revenue growths which had been declining. Morgan Stanley, the underwriter of the one of the biggest IPO’s had a day after the IPO reduced its FY 2013 estimates to reflect the declining revenue growth as disclosed by FB in its S1 form.

Shares of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) was trading marginally down by 0.45% at $31.05 on trading volume of 3.745 million shares.
