Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) warned that its fiscal 2014 first quarter earnings will be weaker than the fiscal 2013 fourth quarter. The company cited impact from foreign exchange rates and charges related to the mining unit. On that basis, the company expects to suffer $100 million in relation to the unfavorable foreign exchange rates in the first quarter. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013, the company benefited from favorable currency exchange rates, reporting $200 million positive impact.Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) shares advanced 1.35% in last trading session and ended the day on $120.30. CVX return on equity ratio is recorded as 14.90% and its return on assets is 8.70%. Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) yearly performance is 6.31%.

Encana Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ECA) Canada’s largest natural gas producer, will sell shares of a royalty unit in Alberta as early as next month as it seeks to profit from investor demand for returns based on production. Encana Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ECA) shares moved down -1.37% in last trading session and was closed at $22.33, while trading in range of $22.29-23.06. ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) and Texas A&M University recently announced a $6 million contribution by ConocoPhillips to the university’s Dwight Look College of Engineering. The multi-year donation will support construction of the new Engineering Education Complex (EEC). During an event at the company’s Houston headquarters, ConocoPhillips Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ryan Lance presented the check to Dr. M.
