You could say 2013 was a year of experimentation for McDonald’s Corporation’s (NYSE:MCD): Fish McBites came out in February, McWraps in March, and Mighty Wings in September—all relative novelty items for the fast-food giant. All that innovation amounted to a 0.2 percent drop in U.S. same-store sales over the year. Maybe that’s why for its first permanent addition to the menu in 2014, McDonald’s is sticking to basics: a new burger. McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) stock opened at $95.94 in last trading session, and closed at $98.78, trading in the range of $95.71 – $98.92. The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 4.00%.

India is expected to drive substantial growth for quick service restaurant major Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) (owner of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell) in the years to come. Devashish Dasgupta, the company’s director, corporate affairs, said it is investing in the local economy and workforce, and expects to have 50,000 associates by 2015. Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) shares closed at $77.33 on last trade day, by losing -0.09%. Stock 52 week range is $63.16 – $78.68. Company’s market capitalization is $34.25 billion.

Metro New York area Dunkin Brands Group Inc (NASDAQ:DNKN)’ Donuts and their generous guests raised more than $100,000 during the holiday shopping season as part of their participation in the 10th annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. Funds raised during the campaign help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® continue to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Dunkin Brands Group Inc (NASDAQ:DNKN) stock advanced 0.50% and finished the last session at $52.17. The EPS of the stock remained 1.36. Company’s market capitalization is $5.55 billion.

In a bid to adapt to the changing customer preferences, The Wendy’s Co (NASDAQ:WEN) announced plans to introduce two new salads on its menu with additional fresh vegetables — Asian cashew chicken and BBQ ranch chicken salads. Additionally, the Ohio-based fast-food chain is modernizing its Garden Side Salad. The Wendy’s Co (NASDAQ:WEN) stock opened at $9.41 in last trading session and closed at $9.27. The 52 week range of the stock is $5.28 – $10.27 and the day range was $9.25 – $9.50.
