Semiconductor Specialized: Yingli Green Energy (NYSE:YGE), Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ), SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR), SolarCity (NASDAQ:SCTY)

Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:YGE), the largest solar-panel maker, is supplying 27.5 megawatts of modules in its biggest order to date in Israel. Yingli in February began delivering modules for the utility-scale project, which the Israeli government has designated a national infrastructure project and conditionally approved for a feed-in tariff, the Baoding, China-based company said today in a statement. Terms weren’t disclosed. Yingli Green Energy Hold. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:YGE) stock opened today at $6.50 and is currently trading at $6.35. The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 7.95%.

Research analysts at Goldman Sachs started coverage on shares of Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) in a report released on Friday, AnalystRatings.Net reports. The firm set a “neutral” rating on the stock. Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) stock opened at $36.00, in current trading session and currently is at $36.63, by gaining 1.74%. The 52 week range of $3.12 – $44.50. Company’s market capitalization is $1.96 billion.

SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) will launch the first tranche of its bonds backed by solar assets in the second half of the year, Chief Executive Thomas Werner told Reuters. SunPower’s plan to launch notes backed by leases associated with its solar projects comes after SolarCity Corp became the first company to offer solar securities last year. SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) stock is open at $33.44 and currently trading at $33.43. The EPS of the stock is 0.56. Company’s market capitalization is $5.47 billion.

A survey conducted at the request of SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) and research firm Clean Edge found that 62% of U.S. homeowners were interested in going solar. National polling firm Zogby Analytics conducted the survey for the companies, interviewing more than 1,400 people n January. Nearly 70% of the homeowners surveyed said they wanted more choices regarding their power supply, and 88% said they support renewable energy. SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) stock opened the session at $75.35, and now is at $76.25. The 52 week range of the SCTY stock remained $16.18 – $88.35 and the day range was $75.35 – $77.10.
