    McDonald’s Corporation Is The Biggest Loser On Dow (SBUX, RAD, CORE, TUC, MCD)

    Shares of McDonald’s Corporation are the biggest loser on the Dow Thursday after the company reported lower than estimated sales growth in February and the company warned of profit decline due rise in commodities and Europe’s worsening economic conditions.

    McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) plunged 3.23% to $96.95 after the Company reported increase in February global comparable sales. Comparable sales rose 11.1% in the US due to strong customer demand for Chicken McBites, classic core favourites and McDonald’s breakfast. Europe posted 4.0% increase in comparable sales for February driven by results in the U.K. and Russia. Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa

    posted 2.4% increase in comparable sales Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) went up 1.77% to $50.37 as news surfacing that the company soon announce a “new strategic initiative” in the premium single cup category. CEO Howard Schultz will host a webcast today at 5 p.m.
    Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD) is currently trading at $1.69 on a traded volume of 6.24 million shares. The Company reported same store sales increased 3.1% for the five weeks.  Front-end same store sales increased 1.9% for the month of February. Same store sales for the quarter increased 3%. Total drugstore sales increased 2.5% with sales of $7.118 billion.

    Core-Mark Holding Company Inc (NASDAQ:CORE) decreased 1.24% to $39.04. The company posted fourth quarter EPS of $0.65, above the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenue for the quarter was $2.13 billion against the consensus estimate of $2.19 billion. The Company expects EPS to be in the range $2.75-$2.90 and revenue of $9.0 billion for fiscal year 2012.

    Mac-Gray Corporation (NYSE:TUC) is up 0.37% to 13.70 after the Company announced fourth quarter results. EPS was $0.01 compared to ($0.05) in the prior year. Revenue for the quarter was $82.7 million compared to $81.7 million in the previous year period. The Company estimates EPS for fiscal year 2012 to be between $0.50-$0.56 against the consensus
    of $0.44. The Company expects revenue of $324-$328 million versus the consensus of $329.50 million for fiscal year 2012.
