    Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU) rose 4.82% to $1.74. French newspaper Les Echos released a report on Friday that the French government and private-equity funds have submitted bid to acquire future license revenue for a bundle of Alcatel-Lucent SA patents.

    The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX) extended rally after earnings release. The company has acquired a majority stake in two Maldives-based seaplane operators namely Maldivian Air Taxi (MAT) and Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA).

    Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:CTRP) added 3.23% as its strong results lifted the outlook for company profit as the economy rebounds.

    Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) increased 2.95% on reports that the company is getting near to a deal that could top $24 billion to sell itself to a buyout consortium.

    Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) continued to gain on quarterly earnings.

    Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) hit new high on Chief Executive James Gorman’s promise to deliver a 10-percent return on equity for shareholders.

    Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI) was also a record price breaker after the launch of Live from the Monkey House, featuring Jack Forman of Recess Monkey. The company is slated to report earnings on February 5, 2013.

    Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE:VLO) scored the best since 2008 after unveiling a plan to present at the Credit Suisse Energy Summit on Wednesday, February 6 at 11:35 a.m. Mountain Time.
