    Starwood Hotels Beat Q1 Earnings (HOT, HP, INCY, IRM, IVZ)

     

    Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc (NYSE:HOT) jumped up 2.61% to $59.12 after the Company announced first quarter results.  Net income was $128 million or $0.65 per share compared to $28 million or $0.14 per share in the first quarter of 2011. Revenues were $1.72 billion against $1.30 billion in the prior year quarter. The Company expects earnings per share to be approximately $0.58 to $0.62 for the second quarter, topping analysts estimates by 10 cents and revenue of $1.72 billion.

     

    Helmerich & Payne Inc (NYSE:HP) decreased 2.84% to $53.01 after the Company declared second quarter results.  Income from continuing operations were $129,763,000 or $1.18 per diluted share compared to income from continuing operations of $98,961,000 or $0.91 per diluted share in the prior year period. Operating revenues were $769,982,000 versus revenues of $604,406,000 in the prior year period.

     

    Incyte Corporation (NASDAQ:INCY) jumped up 10.82% to $21.50 after the Company announced first quarter results. Total revenues were $36.2 million as compared to $32.0 million in the same period of 2011. Net loss was $45.4 million or $0.36 per share as compared to net loss of $26.5 million or $0.21 per share in the same period of 2011.

     

    Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM) decreased 1.33% to $29.76 after the Company reported first quarter results. Revenues were $746 million in the first quarter of 2012. Gross profit was $431 million or 57.8% of revenues compared to $430 million or 57.6% of revenues in the prior year period. Adjusted OIBDA was $221 million in the first quarter of 2012.

     

    Invesco Ltd (NYSE:IVZ) went up 1.39% to $24.79. The Company posted first quarter net income of $193.9 million or 43 cents per share versus $177.5 million or 38 cents in the prior year period. The Company increased its quarterly dividend to17.25 cents per share and repurchased 3.1 million shares in the quarter.
