    Hertz Global Jumps On Boosted Guidance (EXXI, GMCR, HTZ)

    Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HTZ) shares gained 2.96% to $16.70 in the after in the pre-market session after the company reported a first quarter loss of $56.3 million, or $0.13 a share, as compared with a year-earlier loss of $132.6 million, or $0.32 a share. Revenue rose 10% to $1.96 billion. Analysts expected adjusted earnings of $0.01 a share on revenue of $1.96 billion.

    Looking forward, the company raised fiscal 2012 guidance and expects revenue to be in the range of $8.9 to $9.0 billion, adjusted net income in the range of $570-$620 million and adjusted diluted earnings per share in the range of $1.28-$1.38. Analysts are expecting the company to report revenue of $8.9 billion, net income of $551 million and EPS of $1.23 for fiscal 2012.

    Energy XXI (Bermuda) Limited (NASDAQ:EXXI) shares fell 3.01% to $36.70 in pre-market trading after the company reported results for the fiscal third-quarter ended March 31, 2012 and provided an operational update.

    The company’s third quarter net income rose 487% from the prior-year period to $82.5 million, or $1.04 per diluted share, on revenues of $336 million and production of 45,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOE/d). Additionally, the company’s Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.07 per share of common stock, to be paid on June 15, 2012 to shareholders of record on June 1, 2012.

    Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (NASDAQ:GMCR) shares plunged 40.63% to $29.43 in the pre-market session after the company said that profit this year will be less than it had previously anticipated amid the slowest sales growth in five years. The company reported second quarter net sales of $885.1 million, up 37% from $647.7 million in the year-ago quarter.

    Looking forward, the company expects third quarter net sales to be in the range of $861 million to $897 million and fully diluted non-GAAP earnings per share in the range of $0.48 to $0.53 per share. For fiscal 2012, it expects net sales to be in the range of $3.8 billion to $4.0 billion and non-GAAP earnings per share in the range of $2.40 to $2.50 per diluted share.
