    For extension of its security capabilities Intel has acquired Sensory Networks for $20 million. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)  has made some big bets on security technology.  Sensory Networks was founded as a hardware company in 2002. By the passage of time, the company moved from hardware to a software company.

    Barrie said the challenge is to achieve high-performance networking space that would result a considerable value in integrating the security technology. For this reason Intel is the best option. McAfee is one of the clients of the company which Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)  acquired for $7.7 billion. In May, the company acquired Stonesoft, for $389 million. For these reasons the acquisition by Intel makes sense.

    Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is introducing a new gauntle to dominate online conversation around television in its battle with Twitter Facebook says it will begin sending  reports to America’s four largest television networks on weekly basis. These channels include ABC, NBC, Fox, and CBS, and a small number of select partners. The reports will disclose how many “actions” — likes, comments, or shares — a television episode of these channels has enthused on Facebook and how many members participated in an action. The company is hoping to include more data such as how many people saw activity that talked about a show.

    In recent months, both companies Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and Twitter have tried to strengthen their relationships with television networks. Twitter in partnership with media measurement giant Nielsen, is expected to begin to distribute the “Nielsen Twitter TV Rating.”This report will measure how many people take part in a conversation about a particular show, and how many people saw those tweets.

    Because most of the activities are shared between friends and this makes an issue of privacy. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)  had to create a library of keywords for each show, In order to calculate chatter, like the names of main characters. The team uses this library to ensure that a comment that looks related to a show like isn’t about a different topic. Despite its limitations, Facebook’s approach does show how the company is trying to differentiate itself from its competitors.

    David Poltrack says that he has noticed interesting hints between the activities on Twitter versus Facebook a CBS’s chief research officer. He said the network has noticed that young females are strangely active on the service, versus the general population.
