    A U.S. jury ordered Japanese drugmaker Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. and its U.S. counterpart, Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE:LLY), to pay $9 billion in punitive damages over a diabetes medicine linked to cancer. The drug companies said Tuesday they will “vigorously challenge” the decision. Eli Lilly and Co (NYSE:LLY)’s stock on Apr 09, 2014 reported a increase of 3.16% to the closing price of $60.43. Its fifty two weeks range is $47.53 -$60.46. The total market capitalization recorded $68.83billion.
