    Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) saw solid gains on higher-than-predicted Q2 earnings.

    Cereplast, Inc. (PINK:CERP) was active and strong after declaring $500,000 in new revenue and issued 2013 estimates.

    Keryx Biopharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:KERX) surged as analysts are bullish that the company can generate noteworthy revenue to brighten the
    shine of the lackluster biopharmaceutical industry.

    EZCORP Inc (NASDAQ:EZPW) increased 11.85% after reporting Q1 results that surpassed Wall Street estimates.

    Shipping stocks including NewLead Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:NEWL) and FreeSeas Inc. (NASDAQ:FREE) closed higher.

    Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) added 11.43% after posting larger-than-estimated Q4 results.

    MGIC Investment Corp. (NYSE:MTG), Allot Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:ALLT), Assured Guaranty Ltd. (NYSE:AGO), Accretive Health, Inc. (NYSE:AH), Skyworks Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:SWKS), MAKO Surgical Corp. (NASDAQ:MAKO) and Veeco Instruments Inc. (NASDAQ:VECO) all gained between 5 and 8.5 percent.

    Rock-Tenn Company (NYSE:RKT) hit an all time high on Q1 earnings.

    Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) increased 7.51% after releasing record fiscal year financial results.

    Safeway Inc. (NYSE:SWY) marked best gain in more than 15 months after Desjardins Securities Inc. said Metro Inc. (MRU) is expected to bid for its Canadian stores.

    ReneSola Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:SOL) continued to extended gains while other hot solar stocks including JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:JASO), LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:LDK), Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:STP) and Trina Solar Limited (ADR) (NYSE:TSL) ended in red.

    Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) jumped 5.27% to $5.09, recovering from a fall after the company halted offering all firearm-related deals in North America in reaction to the recent spate of school shootings.

    MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. (NYSE:WFR) scored third gain in a row after releasing the MEMC Silvantis(TM) M330 Solar Module.

    Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL) extended two-day winning streak as David Einhorn predicted the stock to “sprint higher” in 2013.

    CSX Corporation (NYSE:CSX) jumped after the company reported higher-than-projected Q4 earnings despite coal worries.
    Standard Pacific Corp. (NYSE:SPF) rose to new high on purchase of 675 acres in the Wiregrass area of New Tampa, where it plans to build 1,180 homes.

    AbbVie Inc (NYSE:ABBV) was another new high-price achiever after providing 2013 Earnings guidance that was in line with analyst estimates.

    Some other noteworthy record price breakers included Novartis AG (ADR) (NYSE:NVS), Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ:SYMC) and The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS).

    Georgia Gulf Corporation (NYSE:GGC) traded higher after TheStreet rated the stock as a buy.

    Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) advanced on 4Q profit and provided FY 2013 forecast that met analysts’ view.

    The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. (NYSE:MHP) rallied after Jefferies Group reiterated its buy rating on the stock.

    Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE:RHT) gained after analysts at Piper Jaffray reaffirmed Overweight rating on the stock.

    More on the upside, Cirrus Logic, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRUS), Renren Inc (NYSE:RENN), Nabors Industries Ltd. (NYSE:NBR), RF Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:RFMD) and LSI Corp (NASDAQ:LSI) all rose in a range of 2.8% to 3.4%.
