    Keryx Biopharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:KERX) continued to extend high after pricing its previously stated underwritten public offering of common stock at $8.49 per share.

    Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR) (NYSE:ALU) ended 6.41% higher on Thursday after news hit the market that the company has tripled network capacity of Moscow’s National Cable Networks using 100G fiber optic technology to support enhanced services.

    Crexus Investment Corp (NYSE:CXS) reached new high on an $872 million cash deal with Annaly Capital.

    The Blackstone Group L.P. (NYSE:BX) rallied to new 52-week high on a 43 percent rise in fourth-quarter profit.

    Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) surged 4.31% after Q3 results.

    QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) rose 3.92% on Q1 earnings release.

    Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR) added 3.71% after awarding Westcon Group “EMEA Distributor of the Year” for the third time in four years.

    Vale SA (ADR) (NYSE:VALE) traded 3.60% higher on an upgrade from neutral to buy at Bank of America. Later, the company declared that it has signed deals to complete a purchase option exercised by Vale in June 2010, by which it will buy an extra 24.5% stake in the Belvedere coal project (Belvedere) from Aquila Resources Limited (Aquila).

    Elsewhere, MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. (NYSE:WFR), Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN), Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARNA), Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:OXY) and Talisman Energy Inc. (USA) (NYSE:TLM) all actively moved higher on Thursday.

    On the flip side, Research In Motion Limited (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) lost 5.81%, extending fall after new BlackBerry release.

    Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) fell 4.16% after a report that the U.S. International Trade Commission will investigate the company over 4G Patents.

    Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE:STZ) lost 7.39% as US sues to block beer deal.

    Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) extended fall after Fitch rating cuts.

    Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) was down amid a report that it is preparing to start charging for free digital converter boxes. In other news, the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) revealed that Comcast Cable’s executive director of Security and Privacy has been added to its Board of Directors.

    Warner Chilcott Plc (NASDAQ:WCRX) gained well on a report from Reuters that the company had buy talks with Endo Health (NASDAQ:ENDP), but was unable to sustain rally and ended in red on Thursday.

    Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) dropped 4.2% as investors weighed weaker guidance.

    Bristol Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE:BMY) traded lower after unveiling a plan to step up its partnership with AstraZeneca. The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) revealed today that a new diabetes drug from Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca failed to win its backing, and has asked for more information from the companies.

    Some other noteworthy decliners included Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX), Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) and Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU).
