    The semiconductor manufacturer Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) plans tin increase the speed for its Thunderbolt standard up to 20 gigabyte by the end of 2013. According to the company the Thunderbolt controller will support 4K video file display and transfer simultaneously.

    In current applications thunderbolt uses two channels for speeds of 10 gigabyte per second. However the new 20 gigabyte speed will be achieved on single channel. The support for Thunderbolt channel has been secured by Intel from video production specialists Black Magic Design and Avid and also NAS firms including Promise.

    There are more than 75 devices that are certified by Intel for Thunderbolt. According to Intel the Thunderbolt is specially designed for those who are desirous to move heavy data within no time.

    In last trading session Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) ended up at $21.09 by rising up 0.72% with traded volume of 34.21 million shares which is down the average volume of 38.16 million shares. Currently INTC is moving 1.85% up and is at $21.49 a share. So far it has touched maximum value of 21.50 USD.

    In another tech news Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has signed on Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.  (NYSE:AMD) to deliver the processing power in its upcoming Xbox console, a new report claims. Following this development Microsoft is expected to leave the PC technology designed by International Business Machines Corp.
    (NYSE:IBM). Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) shares in current trading session are at $29.16 and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.  (NYSE:AMD) share price is down by 4.63% and is currently at $2.47.
