    MBIA Inc. (NYSE:MBI) gained 3.84% after Law360 reported that the company has launched a suit in Texas court against the Harris County – Houston Sports Authority to secure $1 billion in bonds.

    Fusion-IO, Inc. (NYSE:FIO) ended Wednesday in green but lost 18.02% in after-market trading following Q2 results and Q3 guidance.

    Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX) rallied 2.96% yesterday after results and layoff plan.

    Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (NASDAQ:GMCR) increased 2.96% after positive reports.

    Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) rose 2.13% after the company in Tokyo trading hit best since October 2003 in the wake of its annual profit forecast and stock repurchase plan.

    Skyworks Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:SWKS) rallied 12.24% after the closing bell on Wednesday on higher-than-expected results and outlook.

    Weatherford International Ltd (NYSE:WFT) added 1.83% after Scott Gruber, an analyst at Sanford Bernstein & Co, said that the company is the most likely candidate for activist intercession among providers of oilfield services.

    EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) rebounded from a fall on weak results and outlook, after the company enhanced the industry’s first appliance-based unified Big Data analytics offering and, in other news, its security division released RSA(®) Security Analytics .

    Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) traded higher after a plan to spend $500 million in analytics, automation and mobile software over the next 18 months.

    Keryx Biopharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:KERX) extended new high after it announced a $55 million underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock. Also, late Wednesday, the company priced previously stated underwritten public offering of common stock consisting of 8,234,000 shares at $8.49 per share.

    Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE:RF) broke past 52-week high after a report that the bank was awarded 16 Greenwich Excellence Awards in 2012, twice as compared to 2011 tally.
