    Houston American Slumps about 18% (WU, HUSA, LF, BA, AVP)

    The Western Union Company (NYSE:WU) share fell 0.82% to $16.99 after The Western Union Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Western Union Company with global headquarters in Englewood, Colorado, announced disaster relief efforts to help the victims of the Colorado wildfires, the worst in state history. The company will match designated employee contributions up to $50,000 to benefit the Colorado Fire Relief Fund 2012.

    Houston American Energy Corporation (NYSEAMEX:HUSA) share plunged 17.69% to $1.21 after the company announced test results on the C-9 sand in the Cachirre #1 well. While the well had heavy oil shows (6.0 to 6.8 gravity), the Cachirre #1 well was unable to produce oil during swab tests and, as a result, will be plugged and abandoned. After plugs are set, the drilling rig will move to the Zorro Gris well location to begin drilling operations on the next well on CPO 4.

    LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:LF) share climbed 10.15% to $11.50 in the morning hour. On June 29, 2012, the company announced that Dr. Theodore R. Mitchell has joined the company’s board of directors. Ted brings more than 30 years of education experience to the Board, including promoting innovation and excellence in education.

    The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) share gained 0.30% to $74.49 after the company delivered 150 commercial planes in the second quarter, as against 118 in the same period a year ago, led by an increase for the 737 model. The company reported deliveries of 109 narrowbody 737 Next Generation planes, up from 94 delivered in the second quarter of 2011. So far in 2012, Boeing has delivered 208 737s.

    Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE:AVP) share increased 4.33% to $16.64 after Fitch Ratings has assigned a ‘BBB-‘ rating to Avon Products, new $500 million three-year term loan maturing in June 2015. Fitch expects that much of the proceeds will be used to reduce commercial paper (CP) balances totaling $754 million at March 31, 2012.
