    Top decliners on news: 26 downtrending stocks

    Most U.S. stocks declined on Wednesday as worries about global economic growth and a fall in Boeing shares offset optimistic bank earnings reports and gains in the technology sector. Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ:CROX) was among biggest losers on Wall Street with a fall of 9.68% after keeping $220 million revenue forecast for the quarter ended Dec. 31.

    LodgeNet Interactive Corp. (PINK:LNET) plunged about 12% after announcing management changes.[article_detail_ad_1]

    Green Dot Corporation (NYSE:GDOT) lost 8.1% on a downgrade from a neutral rating to a reduce rating at SunTrust, a day after the company launched its first ever mobile-only banking solution, Gobank.

    Gasco Energy Inc (NYSEAMEX:GSX) tumbled near low on worries of being delisted.

    Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:IRWD) retreated 7.42% after Zacks downgraded the stock from an “outperform” rating to a “neutral” rating.

    Trina Solar Limited (ADR) (NYSE:TSL), JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:JASO), Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) and First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) all ended sharply lower.

    Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (NYSE:CIE) lost gaining momentum after pricing secondary public offering of common stock.

    MELA Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:MELA), Rentech Nitrogen Partners LP (NYSE:RNF) and Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:OREX) all trimmed gains they saw on Tuesday. Each of these three retreated at least 5.8% by the end of trade on Wednesday.

    Northern Trust Corporation (NASDAQ:NTRS) decreased 5.74% as its fourth-quarter profit failed to meet or beat analysts’ estimates.

    Deckers Outdoor Corp (NASDAQ:DECK) and Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE:CMG) both turned red to end the day losing more than 5.5%.

    Splunk Inc (NASDAQ:SPLK) was down after a report that the company’s big data integration skills attract IBM’s attention.

    Stocks with less than 5% fall included Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:HOV), Ann Inc (NYSE:ANN), Ultra Petroleum Corp. (NYSE:UPL), Rentech, Inc. (NYSEAMEX:RTK) and Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:ATI).

    Turning towards hot stocks, Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) was down 3.82%, Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (ADR) (NYSE:SID) fell 3.26%, Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) lost 2.92%, Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) retreated 2.45% and Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD) decreased 2.39%.
