    VMware, Inc. (NYSE:VMW) announced a $1.54 billion deal to buy closely held AirWatch, the big software company’s first major move to exploit the mobile-device boom. AirWatch, based in Atlanta, helps companies manage and deploy smartphones, tablets and the software that runs on them. It claims more than 10,000 customers and 1,600 employees. VMware, Inc. (NYSE:VMW) stock opened at $96.87 in current trading session, and trading at $97.17, trading in the range of $96.60 – $98.38. The stock showed a negative weekly performance of 1.84%.

    Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) reported sharply higher fourth-quarter earnings Wednesday on increased deliveries of its civilian and military aircraft. Shares of the aircraft and defense company shares closed up 5.26 percent Wednesday from the previous day’s close. Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) stock decreased -0.24% and trading at $37.88. The EPS of the stock remained 1.75. Company’s market capitalization is $10.61 billion.

    BHP Billiton Limited (ADR) (NYSE:BHP) stock was downgraded from overweight at HSBC Securities. BHP Billiton Limited (ADR) (NYSE:BHP) stock opened at $ 65.90 in current trading session and trading at $65.30. The 52 week range of the stock is $55.66 – $80.54 and the day range was $64.98 – $65.91.

    China’s Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corp. said it isn’t in the bidding for the Canadian iron-ore assets of Rio Tinto plc (ADR) (NYSE:RIO), signaling the mining giant faces fewer options for offloading an asset that once attracted broad interest, according to people familiar with the matter. Rio Tinto plc (ADR) (NYSE:RIO) shares trading at $53.43 on current trade day, by losing -0.80%. Stock 52 week range is $39.14 – $58.90. Company’s market capitalization is $98.58 billion.

    Toll Brothers Inc (NYSE:TOL), in a joint venture with GTIS Partners, a real estate private equity firm, announced the acquisition of Sienna South, the last major undeveloped parcel of Sienna Plantation, one of Houston’s most successful master planned communities. When fully built out, it is anticipated that Sienna South will have generated gross home sales of over $2.6B. The JV has entered into an agreement with The Johnson Development, developer of Sienna Plantation and other Houston communities, to act as master developer. Toll Brothers Inc (NYSE:TOL) stock decreased -0.49% and trading at $36.53. The EPS of the stock remained 0.95. Company’s market capitalization is $6.47 billion.
