Telecom Stocks: Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR), AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL)

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) had its “buy” rating reaffirmed by analysts at TheStreet. They wrote, “Verizon Communications (VZ) has been reiterated by TheStreet Ratings as a buy with a ratings score of B. The company’s strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, notable return on equity, expanding profit margins, good cash flow from operations and increase in stock price during the past year. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had generally high debt management risk by most measures that we evaluated.” Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) stock opened at $46.34 in last trading session, and closed at $47.50, trading in the range of $45.08 – $54.31. The stock showed a negative weekly performance of -1.29%.

Equities researchers at Nomura upped their target price on shares of Frontier Communications Corp. (NYSE:FTR) from $5.00 to $5.50 in a research report issued on Wednesday, Stock Ratings Network.com reports. Nomura’s price target would indicate a potential upside of 8.27% from the stock’s previous close. Frontier Communications Corp (NASDAQ:FTR) shares closed at $4.99 on last trade day, by gaining 1.01%. Stock 52 week range is $3.71 – $5.15. Company’s market capitalization is $4.99 billion.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)* U-verse® TV customers can soon “relive the moments” from classic TV and music of the 60s, 70s and 80s – and even buy their favorites – with the launch of the Time Life Channel. The Time Life Channel will mix entertainment with direct response advertising. The programming will be available on Channels 229 and 359 in standard definition and 1229 and 1359 in high definition in the U-family and above packages. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) stock advanced 0.72% and finished the last session at $32.23. The EPS of the stock remained 3.40. Company’s market capitalization is $167.82 billion.

CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL) was upgraded by EVA Dimensions from an “underweight” rating to a “hold” rating in a research note issued on Tuesday, AmericanBankingNews.com reports. CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE:CTL) stock opened at $30.81 in last trading session and closed at $31.08. The 52 week range of the stock is $27.93 – $38.40 and the day range was $30.67 – $31.10.
