Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is in the early stages of developing a pay-TV streaming service with live programming, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. Amazon approached at least three media companies, according to people familiar with the matter, the Journal reported. Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock opened at $403.00 in last trading session, and closed at $407.05, trading in the range of $401.60 – $407.80. The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 4.11%.

Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO)’s Marissa Mayer said Wednesday that the United States should be more transparent about its data collection practices, and urged the international community to establish privacy guidelines. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) shares closed at $39.52 on last trade day, by losing -1.22%. Stock 52 week range is $19.31 – $41.72. Company’s market capitalization is $40.09 billion.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)introduces the next-generation Intel® Education Tablet and Intel® classmate PC reference designs built specifically for education, to engage students and empower teachers. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) stock decreased -1.01% and finished the last session at $25.59. The EPS of the stock remained 1.88. Company’s market capitalization is $127.26 billion.

On Tuesday, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) reported that it has turned a profit for its fourth quarter, which came in above analysts’ estimates. VZ reported earnings of $5.067 billion,  or $1.76 per share, compared to a loss of $4.229 billion, or $1.48 per share, a year ago.  Adjusted earnings were 66 cents per share, up from 38 cents per share last year. Analysts expected to see earnings of 65 cents per share. Revenue for the quarter was  $31.1 billion, just beating analysts’ estimate of $31.02 billion. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) stock opened at $48.84 in last trading session and closed at $47.70. The 52 week range of the stock is $42.07 – $54.31 and the day range was $46.76 – $48.90.

Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) has barely been listed at a public company for two years, yet it has become one of the most widely traded stocks on any U.S. exchange. Vying for the top spot are the shares of Bank of America Corp. (BAC), Intel Corp. (INTC), Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F), Pfizer Inc. (PFE) and AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) most days. Most of these have been publicly traded for decades and are among the largest companies in the world by sales. Something obviously makes Facebook different. Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) stock increased 3.93% and finished the last session at $58.51. The EPS of the stock remained 0.48. Company’s market capitalization is $142.49 billion.
