Vringo Jumps Over 26%  (GCI, DPZ, VRNG, STX, DRJ, HALO)

Gannett Co., Inc.(NYSE:GCI) shares jumped in the pre-market session after the company reported better than estimated first-quarter earnings.

The company said that it earned $68.22 million, down from a year ago profit of $90.49 million. EPS on a GAAP basis were 28 cents, from 37 cents. On an adjusted basis, the company would have earned 34 cents a share, topping analysts’ estimates by 3 cents.

Revenue during the quarter fell to $1.22 billion from $1.25 billion in the prior year quarter, missing analysts’ estimates of $1.24 billion for the quarter.

Domino’s Pizza, Inc. (NYSE:DPZ) shares climbed 1.44% to $36 after analyst at Miller Tabak upgraded the stock to a Buy rating from Hold. Citing strength of sustained comparable-store sales growth and improving margins. The firm also boosted its price target by $3 to $41 a share.

Vringo, Inc. (NYSEAMEX:VRNG) skyrocketed 26.32% to $3.84 on news that billionaire investor Mark Cuban has acquired a 7.4% stake in the company and is now its largest shareholder.

Seagate Technology PLC (NASDAQ:STX) added 3.76% to $28.41 after Barron’s provided positive comments on the stock, stating an analysis of the disk drive maker suggests STX will benefit from a strong market position and a management that’s kindly disposed toward shareholders.

Dreams, Inc. (NYSEAMEX:DRJ) shares soared 30.65% to $3.41 in the pre-market session after Fanatics agreed to acquire all the outstanding shares of the company for $3.45 per share in cash. Dreams’ board has unanimously approved the transaction.

Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:HALO) shares slumped 21.83% to $8.81 as the FDA is requesting more information to complete its review of the HyQ Biologics License Application. The companies expect these requests to require additional time to complete and to delay the companies’ anticipated regulatory review and approval timeline.
