Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB)’s purchase of WhatsApp Inc. for $19 billion is heightening the allure of other fledgling businesses, some of them little known in the U.S., that specialize in letting users send messages. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) stock decreased -1.49% and finished the last session at $68.59. The EPS of the stock remained 0.66. Company’s market capitalization is $174.70billion.

Possible buyers include Microsoft Corp. and Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), said Brian Blau, a social-media analyst at Gartner Inc. Both had expressed interest in acquiring WhatsApp, people with knowledge of the matter have said. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) stock opened the session at $1,207.81, and closed the session at $1,203.79. The 52 week range of the GOOG stock remained $761.26 – $1,212.87 and the day range was $1,202.83 – $1,209.87.
