Lydall Jumps Over On Robust Earnings (LDL, MANT, COOL, TNGO, UTSI)

U.S. stocks extended rally on Tuesday supported by financial stocks as confidence is gaining in Europe’s largest economy Germany, and U.S. retail sales data showed continuing signs of economic recovery.

Lydall, Inc. (NYSE: LDL) increased 5.23% to $9.65 in the morning hours after the company reported fourth quarter 2011 net sales of $89.3 million, as compared with $89.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2010. Operating income from continuing operations for the fourth quarter of 2011 was $4.4 million compared to $1.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2010.

Mantech International Corp (NASDAQ: MANT) declined 5.20% to $32.62 in the early hour. The 52 week trading range for the company is $29.33 – $46.26. In the last one year, the company has declined over 23%. ManTech International Corporation (ManTech) is a provider of technologies and solutions for mission-critical national security programs for the intelligence community; departments of Defense, State and Homeland Security, etc.

Majesco Entertainment Co. (NASDAQ: COOL) plunged 11.45% to $2.63 in the morning hours after the company reported a first quarter profit of $7.7 million, or $0.19 a share, up from $6.8 million, or $0.18 a share, a year earlier. Revenue jumped 37%, to $66.2 million. Analysts had expected a profit of $0.20 a share on revenue of $55 million.

Tangoe Inc (NASDAQ: TNGO) fell 1.90% to $18.08 in the early hour after the company announced support for Apple’s iOS 5.1 mobile operating system and the new Apple iPad. Tangoe’s comprehensive CLM solutions, including Real-Time Expense Management (“rTEM”) and Mobile Device Management (“MDM”) will support the new iPad when it becomes available March 16, 2012.

UTStarcom Holdings Corp (NASDAQ: UTSI) surged 14.49% to $1.58 in the morning hours after the company reported fourth quarter 2011 net income of $4.1 million, or $0.03 per share, as compared to a loss of $23.0 million, or a loss of $0.15 per share, for the corresponding period of 2010.
