High Growth Shares Bounced Back: Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB), Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc-ADR (OTCMKTS:RBGLY), Merck & Co. (NYSE:MRK), Twitter (NYSE:TWTR)

Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) will host its first developer’s conference in three years in San Francisco on Wednesday, but this year’s F8 conference will feel a lot different than in 2011. The focus then was on appealing to consumers, with CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg introducing two features Timeline profiles and Open Graph that radically changed the way users interact with Facebook. Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) shares after opening at $56.09 moved to $58.28 on last trade day and at the end of the day closed at $58.15. Company price to sales ratio in past twelve months was calculated as 16.72 and price to cash ratio as 11.81. Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) showed a negative weekly performance of -7.74%.

Britain’s Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc-ADR (OTCMKTS:RBGLY) confirming talks to buy Merck’s consumer health business, the latest asset up for grabs in a wave of recent pharmaceutical deals. Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc-ADR (OTCMKTS:RBGLY) shares declined -0.36% in last trading session and ended the day on $16.42.

Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) reported its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2014 (1QFY14). The pharma giant beat earnings estimates but fell short on revenues, and the stock opened in the green for trading. As of midday, it is up more than 3.2%. The company was successfully able to beat earnings estimates for the quarter due to the cost cutting it has implemented in R&D and product marketing. Revenues fell short of expectations though. Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) shares moved up 3.60% in last trading session and was closed at $58.72, while trading in range of $57.27 – $58.86. Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) year to date (YTD) performance is 18.24%.

Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) reported lackluster user and usage growth for the second consecutive quarter on Tuesday, deepening investor concerns about its struggle to gain a mass following. Perhaps most worrying, the San Francisco-based company said its 255 million monthly users, on average, appeared to check the service less frequently than a year ago. Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) weekly performance is -7.39%. On last trading day company shares ended up $42.62. Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR) distance from 50-day simple moving average (SMA50) is -13.57%. Analysts mean target price for the company is $50.67.
