Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Fixed Huge Mishap Of Gmail

Gmail’s most widespread bug in years has been fixed by Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG). It took 10 hours to fix and webmail service’s has been down for upto 50% users.

On Monday at 10:30a.m U.S Eastern time first unexplained notch has been experienced by Google. And because of that many affected users face downloading difficulties and delays of email. The patch was announced at 10 p.m.

In order to prevent that thing to happen again, Google offered more explanation to cause of that problem on Tuesday. According to Sabrina Farmer, senior site engineering manager of Gmail, the chance is very rare that dual network fails, as it bought together the two separate network paths.

Businesses, schools, government agencies that pay for Google Apps cloud and email suit ,and the individuals who uses free version of Gmail has been affected. People express their frustration on discussion forums and groups, like Twitter.

About over a year ago Google gave real official figures of an active Gmail users as 425M. So, Monday’s disruption affected 200M users along with users who used other email platforms whose emails haven’t received in timely fashion.

According to Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) the length and intensity of problem varies from users to users. Receiving the 29% of messages were delayed , it makes an average of 2.6 sec. But still some mails are severely delayed.

On the status site company wrote, “We apologize for the duration of today’s event; we’re aware that prompt email delivery is an important part of the Gmail experience, and today’s experience fell far short of our standards.”

To keep themselves transparent during the time of an incident, Google gave continuous updates and detailed about the problem and the strength of fixing it.
