Auto Stocks — Ford Motor (F), General Motors (GM), Tesla Motors (TSLA), Toyota Motor (TM)

U.S. automakers led by Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) are proposing ways to prevent currency manipulation as a condition for backing the Pacific-region trade accord the Obama administration is seeking to complete in coming months. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) stock opened at $15.83 in current trading session, and trading at $15.81, trading in the range of $15.80 – $16.02. The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 0.71%.

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM), Detroit, has been assigned a patent (8,626,208) developed by Christopher L. Oesterling, Troy, Mich., and Nathan Ampunan, Novi, Mich., for the “traffic data transmission from a vehicle telematics unit.” General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) shares trading at $40.55 on current trade day, by increasing 0.32%. Stock 52 week range is $26.19 – 41.85. Company’s market capitalization is $56.13 billion.

Tesla Motors has become the single most talked-about brand in the world, and all the talk about Tesla has no doubt helped sales of the Model S. Even though the California company doesn’t release sales numbers, global sales reports indicate Tesla has sold at least 25,000 electric sedans to date. Actual global sales through December of 2013 for the Tesla Model S are between 25,343 and 25,503, and calculating in estimated sales of between 2,200 and 2,500 in 2012, Tesla has sold just shy of 30,000 Model S sedans in total so far. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock opened at $152.50 in current trading session and trading at $149.09. The 52 week range of the stock is $32.11 – $194.50 and the day range was $148.58 – 153.43.

Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (NYSE:TM) had previously announced its plans to develop hydrogen-powered cars and now the company has released more details of hydrogen vehicles at the CES 2014. Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (NYSE:TM) stock fell -0.03% and currently trading at $119.87. The EPS of the stock remained 8.56. Company’s market capitalization is $189.77 billion.
