Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has reportedly repurchased $14 billion of its stock in the two weeks after its first-quarter financial results and second-quarter revenue outlook disappointed investors. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock opened today at $521.25 and is currently trading at $519.77. The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 3.16%.
More than a year ago, tests pitting BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s new-at-the-time BlackBerry 10 web browser against mobile offerings from Apple and Microsoft saw BlackBerry’s offering smoke mobile Safari and Internet Explorer by a fairly wide margin. Plenty has changed since then — Apple released iOS 7 alongside a major redesign and Microsoft issued some updates as well — but one thing definitely has not; results of new browser speed tests published recently by New Relic show that when it comes to loading web pages, BlackBerry 10 still obliterates the competition. A representative from UK electronics retailer Currys has just revealed to TNW that it’ll start selling Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s Chromecast dongle beginning March 1st. Google all but confirmed the arrival in Britain as well, though it cautioned that the date is only provisional for now. Currently for sale in the US only, the tiny media streamer supports a handful of apps like Netflix and Hulu, on top of tab streaming from Chrome. However, Google just opened the SDK to all developers, which prompted streaming outfits like Rdio and Beats to announce new apps that’ll arrive soon. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) stock opened at $1,151.13 in last trading session and closed at $1,159.96. The 52 week range of the stock is $758.50 – $1,186.54 and the day range was $1,147.55 – $1,160.16.
Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) X, the rumoured budget Android smartphone also known as Nokia Normandy, has been again spotted under a benchmark which tests the camera section of the handset. Nokia X has been spotted under the CamSpeed test database, the benchmark test for Sophica with a nearly zero focusing time, hinting the rumoured Android device will come with a fixed focus camera. The device was identified with model name RM-980 once again. Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) shares closed at $7.01 on last trade day, by gaining 4.78%. Stock 52 week range is $3.02 – $8.20. Company’s market capitalization is $26.02 billion.
