ADA-ES Slumps On Earnings (NOK, VRNG, PCG, ADES, SNMX)

Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) went up 6.18% to $2.66. Goldman Sachs lowered the rating on the stock to sell from neutral.

Vringo Inc (NYSEAMEX: VRNG) moved up 10.89% to $3.97. The stock is up after the news that the Company has settled a portion of its patent litigation with AOL. AOL is a web search company and serial free-trial disc distributor.

PG&E Corporation (NYSE:PCG) went down 0.15% to $46.44. The Company posted second quarter EPS of $0.81, below the analyst estimate of $0.86. Revenue for the quarter was $3.59 billion compared to the consensus estimate of $3.97 billion. The Company expects EPS of $3.10-$3.30 versus the consensus of $3.19 for fiscal year 2012.

ADA-ES Inc (NASDAQ:ADES) decreased 3.77% to $22.99 after the Company released second quarter results. Total revenues increased to $52.5 million due to the operations at 7 Refined Coal facilities and RC sales. Gross margin was $7.4 million or 14% of revenues compared to $5.2 million or 74% of revenues in the second quarter of 2011. The increase in margin was due to the impact of RC coal sales and raw coal purchases in the 2012 second quarter. Operating income was $1.6 million compared to operating loss of $2.3 million in the second quarter of 2011. Net loss was $2.6 million or $0.26 per diluted share. Cash and cash equivalents were $23.1 million at June 30, 2012.

Recently, the Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bulk Conveyor Specialist Inc. Under the terms, a newly wholly owned subsidiary of ADA will acquire and operate the assets of Bulk Conveyor Specialist Inc. The purchase agreement provides for ADA to acquire BCSI for an initial payment of $2.0 million in cash and an additional $3.0 million payable over the next five years.

Senomyx Inc (NASDAQ:SNMX) escalated 4.63% to $2.26 on a traded volume of 36k shares. The Company reported second quarter EPS of ($0.08), below the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter was $6.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $7.56 million.
