Electronic Cigarette products or E cigs as they are formally known, could be banned by the EU. This has raised millions of heads as to why this would happen? Electronic cigarettes pose no threat to the user so why will they be banned in the EU?
The EU are threatening to ban the sale of all Electronic Cigarettes if they exceed the 4mg dosage per cigarette.
However, the bill has been met with furious opposition with many consumers who use electronic cigarettes asking why ban a product that does not contain the same chemicals as tobacco cigarettes.
With tobacco cigarettes claiming over 5 millions lives each year in the UK alone it is no wonder the bill has been met with so much anger.
Tobacco cigarettes contain over 4,000 chemicals and cacogenics that are proven to increase the risk of lung and mouth cancer. Therefore users are looking to find an alternative that does not contain the same amount of chemicals as tobacco related products do.
Not only are they healthier but also save the user money as they cost upto 70% less than tobacco cigarettes.
This new bill seems to have only one goal in mind to minimise the risk posed to government taxation on tobacco cigarettes.
The government will potentially lose out on billions each year on taxing lowering sales in tobacco cigarettes as people across the world and the UK switch to the electronic cigarettes.
However, if you compare this loss with the amount saved from tobacco related diseases that have to be treated by the NHS you will see that people will not only love longer but it will also save the government billions in public health care.
We would like to hear your comments and we will also upload a partition that will battle the EU on this ruling as we believe the people have the choice and that the government cannot be leant on by tobacco companies to make their decisions for them.
