Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is hiring David Lawenda to be its VP-global sales for the U.S which stops its sales organization. Mr. Arrix worked for Facebook for last seven years, when Facebook was new.
Mr. Lawenda as Facebook’s new U.S. sales chief took the seat vacated by Tom Arrix in July. His responsibility is to handle oversees sales while making relationships with big brands and agencies nationally.
Recently Mr. Lawenda was the leader of ad sales in Univision, where he worked almost five year till august 2012. In Univision his role was to oversee the Spanish-language network and take advantage from English Language competitors through ads. He also worked for Viacom sales organization and took main role in launching UPN and Spike TV.
Like former chief Tom Arrix Mr. Lawenda will report to Carolyn Everson who is VP-global marketing solutions of Facebook.
Ms. Everson said in a statement that as Mr. Lawenda moved from a multicultural or Spanish-language marketing policy to a key marketing partner for some of the largest brands in the world he rebranded and launched networks of Viacom and also changed the thinking of marketers thought about Univision. Throughout his career he’s not only manager or leader but he’s brought an entrepreneurial spirit and team spirit his for its colleagues as well as the companies he worked for.
The hiring takes place when a longtime Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) sales executive Tom Arrix announced his departure. Grady Burnett who is the company’s VP-global sales and operations will took the responsibility of chief operating officer a mobile ad network and analytics company Flurry. Mr. Burnett had been the employee of Facebook for last four years and had a responsibility to increase its international sales and to help in establishing ecosystem with developers who are responsible for creating software for Facebook marketers.
