Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) announced Thursday that its 159 million U.S. users now have dozens of options for completing the gender question on their profiles. The social media giant has been working with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights groups to expand the choices beyond male and female. Facebook Inc. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is planning to introduce a new Apple TV set-top box and is negotiating with Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC) and other potential partners to add video content, according to people with knowledge of the matter. Apple is aiming to unveil the device by April and have it available for sale by the Christmas holidays, though the release date could change because the company is still in the process of securing new agreements with programming and distribution partners, said two people, who asked not to be identified because the plans are private. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock opened at $534.66 in last trading session, and closed at $544.43, trading in the range of $534.20 – $544.85. The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 6.23%.

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX), adding to its growing role in kids’ online videos, obtained exclusive streaming rights to an animated TV series based on George Lucas’s “Star Wars” movies from Walt Disney Co., including the new final season. Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) shares closed at $436.55 on last trade day, by gaining 1.78%. Stock 52 week range is $159.00 – $439.49. Company’s market capitalization is $26.11 billion.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Voxx Electronics Corp. (formerly Audiovox Electronics Corp.) announced on Thursday a worldwide patent licensing agreement providing Voxx Electronics with broad coverage under Microsoft’s patent portfolio for devices running the Android OS, including rear-seat entertainment devices, tablets and other consumer devices. While the contents of the agreement are confidential, the parties indicate that Microsoft will receive royalties from Voxx Electronics under the agreement. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) stock opened at $37.33 in last trading session and closed at $37.61. The 52 week range of the stock is $27.23 – $38.98 and the day range was $37.33 – $37.86.
