Green deal good or bad?

The green deal has taken some criticism since it was first introduced in January 2013, and with millions having been spent will this have a knock on effect for consumers?

With just over 12 homes having successfully signed upto the green deal out of the millions of homes that could be claimed for through the new green deal, it is no wonder it is taking such flack.

Millions have been spent advertising the new green deal and it begs the question will it be good or bad for consumers across the uk.

The main problem households are finding is they do not understand the funding mechanism behind the green deal and this is the prominent reason why millions of homeowners have not signed upto the green deal.

Like any new incentive it will take time for the green deal to take off, however the clarity of how the funding works and if energy bills rise etc needs to be addressed if millions of homeowners are to sign up for finance packages against their houses.
