Investor’s Favourite Stocks: Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) sat atop a new list of the world’s most valuable brands. However, rival Samsung’s value surged as it gained on and then took the lead over Apple in the smart phone industry. The list from brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance had among its top 10 brands ones that have become mainstays on brand value lists. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)  stock opened at $542.47 in last session, and closed at $543.99, while the day  range of AAPL stock is $541.21-545.98.The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 4.68%

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is fighting a different battle. The embattled smart phone manufacturer is changing its key management team to focus on enterprise solutions. But the loss of Andrew Bocking, said to be responsible for the company’s BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) software, will be difficult to digest. BlackBerry had launched the application on rival Android and iOS platforms and also offered it for free to these users.  The turnaround strategy of John Chen, CEO of BlackBerry, continues to attract institutional investors. Third Point LLC, a hedge fund managed by Daniel Loeb has disclosed that it has amasses a 1.9% stake in the company in the fourth quarter. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)   stock opened at $9.27, in last session and closed at $8.98, by loosed -3.65%.The 52 week range of $5.44-16.82. Company’s market capitalization is $4.73 billion.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has had more than its share of controversy, including some involving lawsuits. It probably came as no surprise to social media watchers, then, when according to the New York Times the Washington DC-based non-profit consumer rights advocacy organization Public Citizen, announced that it would file a brief with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, on February 13, 2014.Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)   stock loosed -0.36% and finished the last session at $67.09.The EPS of the stock remained 0.66.Company’s market capitalization is $170.88 billion.

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) drove their electric cars to the Capitol of Washington State and voiced their opposition to the proposed bill intended to prevent the company from expanding its stores and service centers. Tesla Motors Inc is currently operating two stores and service centers in Seattle and Bellevue, Washington. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)   stock opened the session at $198.10, and closed the session at $198.23.The 52 week range of the TSLA stock remained $33.80-202.72 and the day range was $197.00 – $201.88.
