The smartphone market, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has to watch out for Samsung. The company once again grew its global share, pushing it from 17.2 percent last quarter to 22.3 percent this time around. If the company continues to grow its shares, such as through bundles with its popular smartphones, Apple is really going to be in jeopardy of losing its throne in the near future. Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) shares after opening at $592.00 moved to $594.80 on last trade day and at the end of the day closed at $591.48. Suntech Power Holdings, Co., Ltd. (ADR) (OTCMKTS:STPFQ) the bankrupt holding company of the former Suntech empire, is hoping to lure a strategic investor to help it start over as a retail PV specialist in high-margin markets. Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR)(OTCMKTS:STPFQ) shares advanced 0.26% in last trading session and ended the day on 0.313.

LDK Solar Co., Ltd(ADR) (OTCMKTS:LDKSY). in provisional liquidation and its Joint Provisional Liquidators, Tammy Fu and Eleanor Fisher, both of Zolfo Cooper (Cayman) Limited, announced that its Chinese Subsidiary, Jiangxi LDK Solar Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. (“Jiangxi LDK Solar”), has signed a wafer supply agreement with Gintech Energy Corporation, a Taiwanese company listed on the Taiwan exchange with solar cell manufacturing operations. Under the terms of the agreement, Jiangxi LDK Solar will provide wafers totaling 850 megawatts with shipments commencing in April 2014 through March 2018. LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (OTCMKTS:LDKSY) shares moved down -6.85% in last trading session and was closed at $0.419, while trading in range of $ 0.41 – 0.48.

Sir Howard Stringer was supposed to make Sony Corp. (NYSE:SNE) the success it had not been for years when he was promoted to CEO in 2005. He was kicked out in 2012 because he failed, and was replaced by Kazuo “Kaz” Hirai. The new CEO said he could make Sony a success again, and very quickly. Quarter after quarter, and year after year, Sony’s results have proven him wrong. At some point, and perhaps soon, his job will be on the line. Analysts mean target price for the company is $21.51.
