Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) and other internet content providers are pressing mobile operators to give subscribers in some markets special access to their content, Vodafone revealed on Monday. Vittorio Colao, Vodafone’s chief executive, said Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer, had asked him to ‘zero rate’ its content – exclude it from counting towards a subscriber’s data plan – in certain emerging markets during a recent conversation. Facebook declined to comment on the discussions. Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) stock decreased -1.20% and finished the last session at $63.55. The EPS of the stock remained 0.66. Company’s market capitalization is $161.86 billion.
Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) will unveil a low-cost smartphone running a version of Google Inc’s Android operating system, despite the company’s close partnership with Microsoft Corp and its competing Windows system, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
