Las Vegas Sands Corp Jumps On Analyst Note (LVS, WFT, CCL, Z, YELP)

Las Vegas Sands Corp.(NYSE:LVS) stock increased 3.60% to $46.94 after Las Vegas‘s stock had its “overweight” rating restated by equities researchers at JPMorgan Chase in a report issued today. Separately, analysts at Deutsche Bank raised their price target on shares of Las Vegas from $42.00 to $52.00 in a research note to investors on September 14. They now have a “buy” rating on the stock.

Weatherford International Ltd(NYSE:WFT) stock fell 2.90% to $12.71. Jefferies Group assumed coverage on shares of Weatherford in a research note issued to investors on Sept. 12. The firm issued an underperform rating on the stock. The company is a provider of equipment and services used in the drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention of oil and natural gas wells.

Carnival Corporation(NYSE:CCL) stock increased 2.86% to $38.06 after the company announced third quarter non-GAAP net income of $1.2 billion, or $1.53 diluted earnings per share. Reported U.S. GAAP net income, was $1.3 billion, or $1.71 diluted earnings per share. Net income for the third quarter of 2011 was $1.3 billion, or $1.69 diluted earnings per share. Revenues for the third quarter of 2012 were $4.7 billion compared to $5.1 billion for the prior year.

Zillow Inc(NASDAQ:Z) shares dropped 6.53% to $41.51 in the early hour. The company announced that the underwriters of its recently completed underwritten public offering of Class A common stock have partially exercised their option to purchase additional shares of Class A common stock from Zillow. The underwriters will purchase 419,818 shares from Zillow at $43.00 per share, less the underwriting discount. The sale of the additional shares is expected to close on September 24, 2012, subject to customary closing conditions.

Yelp Inc(NYSE:YELP) shares gained 2.45% to $26.30. Investment analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald assumed coverage on shares of Yelp in a note issued to investors on Sept. 20. The firm set a “hold” rating on the stock. Separately, analysts at Jefferies Group initiated coverage on shares of Yelp in a research note to investors on September 13. They set a “buy” rating and a $33.00 price target on the stock.
