U.S. stocks turned lower on Thursday, but blue chips and S&P 500 still marked best January in years. Online Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCC) was the biggest gainer with 81.5% rally after a $126.6 million cash deal to sell itself to ACI Worldwide.
WMS Industries Inc. (NYSE:WMS) was another top riser with 51.20% gain after a $ 1.5 billion cash deal to sell itself to Scientific Games Corporation.
Fortinet, Inc. (NASDAQ:FTNT) jumped 21.91% on earnings beat.[article_detail_ad_1]
Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI) rallied 20.28% after better-than-expected results.
JDS Uniphase Corp (NASDAQ:JDSU) traded 17.02% higher and was close to near high after earnings release and upgrade.
Performant Financial Corp (NASDAQ:PFMT) hit an all-time high since IPO on pricing an upsized an upsized secondary public offering of 8,000,000 shares of common stock at $10.65 per share.
Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:STP) gained 13.61% on completion of Solar PV System in Saudi Arabia.
Silicon Graphics International Corp (NASDAQ:SGI) scored new 52-week high after outlook.
Mead Johnson Nutrition CO (NYSE:MJN) added $7.85 or 11.52% in price after corporate report.
Skyworks Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:SWKS) advanced 11.04% on earnings beat.
Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ:TSCO) soared to the best since its market debut after better-than-projected results.
Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) surged 9.23% on strong report and guidance.
Pacific Ethanol Inc (NASDAQ:PEIX) increased 7.95%, seemingly due to a report that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is seeking to boost its ethanol mandate to 16.55B gallons.
LDK Solar Co., Ltd (ADR) (NYSE:LDK) rose 9.09% on news that the state-owned China Development Bank Corp. agreed to loan it about $71 million.
Ericsson (ADR) (NASDAQ:ERIC) and AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE:AN) both scored new higha after Q4 results.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS) was 7.16% up after results. The stock was downgraded to “hold” from “buy” at Craig-Hallum ahead of the open on Thursday.
Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALGN) extended fall after quarterly report.
Inteliquent (NASDAQ:IQNT) rallied 6.95% on news that Hedge-fund manager Clinton Group Inc. is seeking to replace the board.
More on the upside, Central European Distribution Corp (NASDAQ:CEDC), Roundy’s Inc (NYSE:RNDY) , Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ:FNSR), RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH), Ciena Corporation (NASDAQ:CIEN) and Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) all showed significant gains.
