News Watch: 47 Best Stocks on Wall Street

Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) was the biggest % and price gainer on Wall Street after the company reported results that surpassed analysts’ projections. The stock gained more than 40%, adding $43.60 in price to close at $146.86 on Thursday.

Swift Transportation Co (NYSE:SWFT) soared 28.45%, the best intraday rally since its December 2010 market debut, after the trucking company released earnings that topped analysts’ view.

Citing Swift’s performance and a rise in truckload shipper buoyancy along with progress in recent international datapoints, Bank of America Merrill Lynch upgraded several transport carriers. Con Way Inc (NYSE:CNW), Knight Transportation (NYSE:KNX), Werner Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ:WERN) and Heartland Express, Inc. (NASDAQ:HTLD) all benefited and saw solid gains on Thursday.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:JBHT) marked an all-time high on record after posting strong 4th-quarter results.
Elsewhere on Wall Street, Travelzoo Inc. (NASDAQ:TZOO) jumped 24.31% on results that exceeded market projections.

Syntroleum Corp (NASDAQ:SYNM) rose 19.73% after a news that its 50-50 joint venture with Tyson Foods, Dynamic Fuels, supplied synthetic diesel fuel for Mazda diesel’s Bosch Motorsports injectors.

Despite hitting new low, ITT Educational Services, Inc. (NYSE:ESI) advanced 17.74% after Q4 results.
Popular, Inc. (NASDAQ:BPOP) hit new high on a 4Q earnings release.

InvenSense Inc (NYSE:INVN) rallied 11.5% after it issued Q4 2013 outlook that met expectations.

TravelCenters of America LLC (NYSEAMEX:TA) increased 11% after Craig-Hallum commenced coverage with a Buy and price target of $13.

Other noteworthy gainers included PositiveID Corporation (OTC:PSID), Mattson Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTSN), Globalstar, Inc.

(PINK:GSAT), Gevo, Inc. (NASDAQ:GEVO), Greenbrier Companies Inc (NYSE:GBX), Hansen Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ:HNSN) and InterOil Corporation (USA) (NYSE:IOC).

Briggs & Stratton Corporation (NYSE:BGG) hit new 52-week high after its 2Q profit surpassed predictions.

Tempur-Pedic International Inc. (NYSE:TPX) and Cash America International, Inc. (NYSE:CSH) both gained after beating Q4 earnings estimates.

Embraer SA (ADR) (NYSE:ERJ) added 9.1% after unveiling a plan to sell 47 Jets Embraer 175 to Republic Airways Holdings Inc.
Deluxe Corporation (NYSE:DLX) topped five-year high after the company issued guidance that met expectations.

Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC) was a record price breaker after the release of its fourth quarter 2012 financial results while Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT) was on the rise after 2Q results.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (NASDAQ:GMCR) rallied 6.59% after an analyst at Key Banc issued a positive assessment of the company’s short-term prospects.

F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:FFIV) increased $4.41 or 4.46% after the company provided outlook that surpassed expectations.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ:BBBY) rose 4.37% after Oppenheimer upgraded the stock to an outperform rating.

J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) was actively rising yesterday amid allegations that the company is trying to dress up its discounts.
Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROST) traded 3.5% higher after Credit Suisse lifted the stock to an “Outperform” rating.

eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) scored the best since its market debut on a Market Watch report that the company after reporting higher-

than-projected profit and revenue for Q4 and the total of 2012 has been projecting the right signal for analysts and investors who are optimistic about the stock.

Riverbed Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:RVBD) and Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ:FNSR) were up after an upbeat report.

Dollar General Corp. (NYSE:DG) gained 2.91% a day after the company unveiled plans to add 635 new stores in 2013.

Gainers on above-normal volume included Fairchild Semiconductor International (NYSE:FCS), Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ:DLTR), Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD), SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK), Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) (NYSE:CX), Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX) and NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP).

Turning to high volume upbeat stocks, Research In Motion Limited (USA) (NASDAQ:RIMM) hit new 52-week high, Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR) rose 2.80%, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) added 2.20%, EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) increased 2% and Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ:SYMC) marked new high.
