NYSE Active Runners: Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA (NYSE:PBR), AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC)

Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (NYSE: PBR), better known as Petrobras, reported fourth-quarter and full-year 2013 results after markets closed on Tuesday. The Brazilian behemoth posted full-year sales of 349.9 billion reais (about $150 billion at one real equal to $0.43). Net income for the year rose 11% to $10.13 billion, but fourth-quarter net profit fell 19% year-over-year to $2.7 billion. Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras SA (ADR) (NYSE:PBR) stock opened at $11.10 in last session, and closed at $11.52, while the day range of ADR stock is $11.00-$11.56.The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 2.13%.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) saw its short interest rise 13.8% to 171.16 million shares, or about 3.3% of the stock’s float. The days to cover is five. One of two telecoms stock in this list, AT&T has been the target of price war and investors are concerned that margins and profits will suffer. The stock closed at $32.00 Wednesday night in a 52-week range of $31.74 to $39.00. Shares are down about 0.5% in the two weeks since the last report on short interest. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) stock opened at $31.99, in last session and closed at $32.23, by gained 0.72%. The 52 week range was $31.74-$39.00.Company’s market capitalization is $167.82 billion.

Verizon Communications Inc. is coming under heavy attack by options traders, with overall volume running at more than three times the typical intraday pace. Calls have easily emerged as the crowd favorite, and are outpacing puts by a margin of nearly 3-to-1. The most active strike is the April 49 call, and in fact, this contract is the most actively traded option among all equities thus far. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) stock gained 2.48% and finished the last session at $47.50.The EPS of the stock remained 4.00.Company’s market capitalization is $196.50 billion.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), through its subsidiaries, provides various banking and financial products and services for individual consumers, small and middle market businesses, institutional investors, corporations, governments in the United States and internationally.  Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) stock opened the session at $16.27, and closed the session at $16.49. The 52 week range of the BAC stock remained $11.02-$17.42 and the day range was $16.21-$16.49.
