Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) said Thursday that it will once again clean up its News Feed. Just like previous changes, it will weed out “spammy” posts that users don’t want to see. The social networking giant said the latest changes will make sure that users don’t miss relevant and important stories. Facebook engineers Erich Owens and Chris Turitzin said in a blog post that the new improvements will reduce stories that users frequently mark as spam. Below is an example of the type of posts that will be eliminated. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) stock opened today at $57.64 and is currently trading at $58.94. The stock showed a negative weekly performance of -0.55%.
Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) failed to retain investor’s confidence despite a solid performance during the fourth quarter. Revenues were up by 12% YoY due to 8% increase in subscriber base. The stock price was up with positive results, but unable keep the trend and continues to decrease by 16% in last three months. The decline may be due to the news over stock rights as Liberty Media (LM) refused to take complete ownership of SiriusXM though LM comprises 53% stake in the Company. Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) stock opened at $3.13, in current trading session and currently is at $3.19, by gaining 2.90%.The 52 week range of $2.97-$4.18. Company’s market capitalization is $18.80 billion.
Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) announced the appointment of David Lee as chief financial officer and chief accounting officer, which highlights the efforts of CEO Don Mattrick to restructure the company. Prior to Zynga, Lee worked with Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE:BBY), serving as the senior vice president of finance. Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) stock is currently trading at $4.13 .The EPS of the stock is -0.05. Company’s market capitalization is $3.62 billion.
Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) just got a new beauty Expert-in-Chief. Makeup guru Bobbi Brown is joining Yahoo as the Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo Beauty.The announcement came from Yahoo on Wednesday in a post on its official Tumblr account. Yahoo praised Brown, the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics for her knowledge and experience in makeup. Brown, who has also authored eight beauty and lifestyle books, sad she was excited to join Yahoo for the opportunity to reach women.Yahoo! Inc.
