Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. (NASDAQ:WOLF) shares jumped 6.60% to $7.42 in the pre-market session as Apollo Global Management raised its offer to buy the company $7.85 a share from $7 as the bidding war for the water parks operator continues. A termination fee of over $10 million payable to Apollo applies if the deal falls through. The $7.85 offer price represents a hefty premium of 171% to the six-month average of Great Wolf’s share price before the announcement of Apollo’s original offer in mid March.
Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC) said that the company had a loss of $7.71 million, or 7 cents a share, reversing a year ago profit of 10.9 million, or 9 cents a share. The latest results included a tax expense of 7 cents a share, among other charges, while the year earlier had a 29-cent tax benefit. Revenue during the quarter slid 13% to $71.7 million. Analysts’ were estimating the company to report a loss of 7 cents a share on revenue of $72 million. Gross margin trimmed to 55.1% from 60% on changing product mix, among other things.
For the current quarter, the company predicts to generate revenue growth to be flat to up 4% on a sequential basis, implying a range of $71.7 million to $74.6 million, missing analysts’ estimates of $77.2 million.
Manpower Inc (NYSE:MAN) shares jumped 3.72% in the pre-market session after the company posted a net income of $40.2 million or 50 cents per share, up 12.60% from a year ago profit of $35.7 million or 43 cents per share. Revenue during the quarter grew 0.50% year-over-year to $5.1 billion. Analysts were estimating the company to report f 35 cents per share on revenue of $4.97 billion.
Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE:HON) shares jumped 3.45% to $60 as the company lifted its full year guidance. The company now projects to earn $4.35 to $4.55 per share, up from its previous forecast of $4.25 to $4.50. In the first-quarter, the company earned $825 million, or $1.04 per share on revenue of $9.3 billion, ahead of analysts estimates of $9.15 billion.
