Stocks showing significant fall on news

Although Wall Street finished Friday higher, these stocks went the opposite direction and ended the day in red. Echo Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:ECTE) was among biggest losers after pricing of public offering of common stock.

Brightcove Inc (NASDAQ:BCOV) fell 27.43%, facing new low on lower than expected 2013, 1Q guidance.

Life Time Fitness, Inc. (NYSE:LTM) tumbled 22.41% to its worst in 12-month period on outlook miss.[article_detail_ad_1]

M/I Homes Inc (NYSE:MHO, Brink’S Co (NYSE:BCO), Zoltek Companies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZOLT) and Harris Teeter Supermarkets Inc (NYSE:HTSI) plunged on their earnings below estimates.

Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) closed 8.51% down on Friday after weak forecast.

Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ:GLUU) fell 6.95% on a downgrade to Market Perform from Outperform at Northland Securities.

NII Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:NIHD) retreated 6.00% on a downgrade at S&P.

Alkermes Plc (NASDAQ:ALKS) trended lower after Elan Corporation PLC’s subsidiary sold remaining holding in the company.

Despite hitting new high, Meritage Homes Corporation (NYSE:MTH) cended down on Friday after results.

bebe stores, inc. (NASDAQ:BEBE) decreased 5.50% after corporate report.

Globalstar, Inc. (PINK:GSAT), Central European Distribution Corp (NASDAQ:CEDC), Seven Arts Entertainment Inc (PINK:SAPX) and Generex Biotechnology Corporation (OTC:GNBT) each lost more than 11% while Demandware Inc (NYSE:DWRE), GNC Holdings Inc (NYSE:GNC), Atlantic Power Corp (NYSE:AT), VistaPrint Limited (NASDAQ:VPRT) and Quicksilver Resources Inc (NYSE:KWK) each was down below 5%.

Turning to active stocks, Keryx Biopharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:KERX) lost 21.70% but still more than doubled in value last week after the clinical trial data for Zerenex.

Tellabs, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLAB) moved 7.68% down on earnings, guidance misses.

SandRidge Energy Inc. (NYSE:SD) traded lower after TPG-Axon responded to its statement regarding related party transactions.

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI) declined 4.09% as its fourth-quarter earnings dropped 56%.

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) suffered 5th decline in a row after Federal Trade Commission unveiled a plan to close Fortune Hi-Tech.

Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) faced a fall of 3.28% after results.

Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC) dropped 2.53% on Friday after Newsday.com and News12.com websites were hacked, which later were again fully operational.

Coach, Inc. (NYSE:COH) extended fall after getting a downgrade to Strong Sell at Zacks.

Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) continued to decline after results.

Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE:HOV) and Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR) both fell below 1%.
