Tech Stocks – Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK), Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)’s shares rose as much as 16 percent to a life-high after the company’s resounding revenue growth underscored CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s success in selling ad space on the social network’s mobile app. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) stock opened at $54.61 in last trading session, and closed at $53.53, trading in the range of $53.19 – $54.95. The stock showed a negative weekly performance of -6.92%.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has filed a new patent (via AppleInsider) for supplementary tech that adds pressure sensitivity to its iOS devices, via special pressure sensors located around the corners of the device or otherwise hidden beneath the display. The tech described in the patent would allow for detection of gestures coming from beyond the touch-sensitive regions of the display, so you could have swipes recognized as coming from the bezel for instance. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock decreased -1.14% and finished the last session at $500.75. The EPS of the stock remained 40.32. Company’s market capitalization is $446.89 billion.

Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK)’s long-rumoured Android phone, believed to be dubbed Nokia X (codenamed Normandy) has been leaked again in live images, this time revealing design of the alleged device. A French publication, No Where Else, has posted three images of the alleged Nokia X which purportedly show the device. One of the leaked images of the alleged Nokia X phone shows the front panel housing a Nokia logo on the top of the panel. Another leaked image shows the rear panel of the rumoured Nokia X, and appears to be made of plastic, similar to the material found on Asha devices, while the third leaked image shows the side panel housing a physical button for power and a volume rocker. Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) stock opened at $7.03 in last trading session, and closed at $7.04, trading in the range of $6.98 – $7.15. The stock showed a negative weekly performance of -8.57%.

iPhone users who tweet photos will find much to like in the new version of the iOS Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) app. Released on Wednesday, version 6.1 of Twitter for iOS adds several handy options for tweaking your photos before you share them with your followers. The gallery icon lets you quickly choose a photo from your camera roll. You can then crop and rotate it and view different versions of your photo as seen through different filters. Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) stock opened the session at $63.98, and now is at $63.49. The 52 week range of the TWTR stock remained $38.80 – $74.73 and the day range was $62.80 – $64.98.
