BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) President John Sims has confirmed that the popular BBM messaging service will make its way to Windows Phone sometime this year. After what at least feels like an eternity of being ignored in the background, Windows Phone will be joining the BlackBerry Messenger party before the end of the year. Having already made it to Android and Google to the delight of tens of millions the world over, BBM for Windows Phone has been confirmed for a 2013 launch by company executives. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) stock opened today at $7.22 and is currently trading at $7.30. The stock showed a negative weekly performance of -2.69%.

Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) announced today that its board of directors has authorized an increase of 14 percent in the quarterly dividend paid on its common stock. The new rate of 16.5 cents per common share, or 66 cents per share on an annual basis, will be effective with the dividend expected to be paid in the third quarter of 2014. Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) stock opened at $32.92, in current trading session and currently is at $32.79, by losing -0.33%. The 52 week range of $32.66 – $33.18. Company’s market capitalization is $8.44 billion.

Medtronic Inc (NYSE:MDT) reported a drop in its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings and also reported that it had settled a patent dispute with Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW). Metronic’s quarterly profit slipped to $448 million, or $0.44 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $969 million, or $0.95 per share. Excluding certain items, its earnings rose to $1.12 per share from $1.10 per share. Its revenue rose 2.4% to $4.57 billion. Excluding currency fluctuations, Metronic’s revenue climbed 3%. However, analysts were estimating a profit of $1.12 per share on revenue of $4.58 billion. Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE:MDT) stock is currently trading at $58.98. The EPS of the stock is 3.53. Company’s market capitalization is $59.04 billion.

Equities researchers at Stifel Nicolaus cut their target price on shares of Urban Outfitters Inc (NASDAQ:URBN) from $48.00 to $44.00 in a research report issued on Tuesday. The firm currently has a “buy” rating on the stock. Stifel Nicolaus’ price target indicates a potential upside of 21.65% from the stock’s previous close. Urban Outfitters, Inc. (NASDAQ:URBN) stock opened the session at $34.60, and now is at $33.46. The 52 week range of the stock remained $33.3 – $44.96 and the day range was $33.34 – $34.80.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc. (NYSE:DKS) reported Q1 EPS of $0.50, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.53. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.46 billion. Consolidated same store sales increased 1.5%, compared to the Company’s guidance of an approximate 3 to 4% increase.
