The stock showed a positive weekly performance of 1.05%.

Shares of Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) rose Thursday on news the solar-panel manufacturer has agreed to sell an Ontario power plant to a BlackRock Inc. fund, making it the fourth solar project that the money-managing behemoth has bought. Construction of the 10-megawatt plant is expected to begin in the next month, with commercial operations expected for the third quarter. Canadian Solar will operate and maintain the facility, designed to power about 1,339 homes. Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) stock decreased -1.47% and finished the last session at $36.84. The EPS of the stock remained -2.26. Company’s market capitalization is $1.59 billion.

In the quarter ended Dec. 28, the Canton, Mass.-based company earned $42.1 million, or 39 cents per share, up 23 percent from $34.3 million, or 32 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
