A French consumer group has sued Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), Google Inc. (GOOG) and Twitter Inc. (TWTR) for what it calls “abusive and illicit” use of private data. In an e-mailed statement, UFC-Que Choisir also called on French consumers to beware of the “opaque” manner in which their private data is handled by the three social media sites.
