Toshiba Corp (USA) (OTCMKTS:TOSYY) and SanDisk Corp said on May 14 they plan to start producing 3D NAND, a new advanced type of flash memory, at a plant in Japan from 2016 as demand grows for high-storage chips used in mobile devices. The companies said in statement they will invest jointly in a new facility that will replace an existing semiconductor making unit at Toshiba’s Yokkaichi plant in central Japan. Telenor ASA (ADR) (OTCMKTS:TELNY) Group announced that DiGi Telecommunications has appointed Lars-Åke Norling (45) as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective August 1, 2014. Norling currently holds the position of CEO in Telenor Sweden. Norling will be succeeded by Patrik Hofbauer (45) who will take on the role of CEO in Sweden, also effective August 1. Hofbauer is currently CEO of Telenor Broadcast and Canal Digital. Telenor ASA (ADR) (OTCMKTS:TELNY) shares advanced 0.61% in last trading session and ended the day on $72.30.

In May 2013 Telecom Italia SpA (ADR) (NYSE:TI) and TeleTu applied a call set-up fee and per minute charges whereas now they have removed the fees from their offerings and included calls to mobiles up to a specific limit. Tiscali now offers unlimited calls to all phones and Fastweb bundles in 60 minutes of calls to all numbers. Verizon acquired Vodafone Group PLC (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD)’s minority stake in Verizon Wireless in February, allowing it to it stop paying a dividend to its partner. The US$130 billion deal is a bet that there is still room for growth in the US even though a majority of customers in the country already have smartphones. Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD) net profit margin is 45.10% and weekly performance is -4.11%. On last trading day company shares ended up $36.44. Analysts mean target price for the company is $55.07. Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD) distance from 50-day simple moving average (SMA50) is -1.57%.
