Will Amazon.com, Inc. ‘s (NASDAQ:AMZN) 2nd Kindle Fire amaze their users?

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) prepares itself to launch a modified version of its kindle tablet that had created and opened a huge avenue of revenue for the internet retailer in the last year.

The Company has in the wake of rising competition from tough rivals Apple Inc and Google has planned to launch a second version of its Kindle Fire imbibing in it few big upgrades with a makeover of the size and thickness.

Improving the image quality, Amazon has reportedly been said to have increased the display on its Kindle Fire to 1280 x 800 pixels resolutions, compared to the existing 1024 x 600. It is also speculated that the new tablet will include a camera also.

The new Kindle Fire will be thinner and lighter than the original. Along with the high resolution building instruction given by Amazon it has also instructed to give it a different aspect ratio, as well.

Speculations are also on that the Company is taking its plunge in the smartphone market and it is presumed that Amazon will also pursue the same strategy of selling the hardware at or near cost and look to make its dollars off content sales after the initial purchase. The operating system for the smartphone is still not known.

Shares of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has increased 16.98% in the last three months of trading. Shares are trading on a low volume of 0.896 million shares at a price of $224.11 (down 0.42%).
