Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ:WYNN) shares gained 0.66% to $98 in the after hour trading after the company reported second quarter net income of $138 million or $1.37 per share, as compared to $122 million or $0.97 per share last year. Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $139 million or $1.38 per share. Net revenue for the quarter was $1.25 billion, compared to $1.37 billion last year. Analysts expected earnings of $1.51 per share on revenue of $1.34 billion.
Additionally, the company announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.50 per common share, payable on August 14 to stockholders of record on July 31.
Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) stock declined 0.32% to $15.55 in the after hour trading after the company reported a fiscal second-quarter profit of $0.18 a share, on revenue of $1.08 billion, which was flat with the same period a year ago. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.27 a share. Analysts had forecasted Yahoo to earn $0.23 a share on $1.1 billion in revenue.
Albemarle Corporation (NYSE:ALB)’s second-quarter earnings fell 67% owing to restructuring charges that weighed on the company’s bottom-line results and as revenue grew less than expected. The company reported a second quarter profit of $37.7 million, or $0.42 a share, down from $114.2 million, or $1.23 a share, a year earlier. Adjusted per-share earnings were $1.24 in the latest period. Revenue fell 7.7% to $684.9 million. Analysts had projected earnings of $1.23 a share and revenue of $741 million.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) stock fell 0.99% to $25.13 in the after hour trading after the company posted second quarter net income of $2.83 billion, as compared to $2.95 billion in the same quarter last year. Earnings per share were flat at $0.54 on fewer shares outstanding in the most recent period. Revenue rose to $13.5 billion, as compared to $13 billion.
The company expects third quarter of 2012 GAAP revenue of $14.3 billion, plus or minus $500 million. For fiscal 2012, it expects GAAP revenue up between 3% and 5% year over year, down from the prior expectation for high single-digit growth.
