Pre Market Movers in Review – RIMM, ALU, CS, GS, BP, MSFT, AAPL, NOK, SNE

Research In Motion Limited (USA)(NASDAQ:RIMM)shares added 0.51% to $13.86 in pre-market trading. One key research company upgraded its forecasts for the firm’s third quarter.
Jefferies upgraded its forecasts from $2.5 billion to $2.7 billion and upgraded its price estimate to $13 per share.

Alcatel Lucent SA (ADR)(NYSE:ALU)declared that on December 14, 2012 it engaged into commitments with Credit Suisse Group AG (ADR)(NYSE:CS) and Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.(NYSE:GS) for Euro 1.615 billion in senior secured credit facilities.


It is anticipated that Alcatel-Lucent USA, an Alcatel-Lucent subsidiary, will be the borrower and Alcatel-Lucent and some of its material units will be sponsors.

Alcatel Lucent SA (ALU) shares added11.82% to $1.23 in pre-market trading whereas Goldman Sachs Group (GS) shares rose 0.16%to $118.69. Shares of Credit Suisse Group (CS) remained inactive.

BP plc (ADR)(NYSE:BP) slipped -0.19% to $41.47. Formerly Credit Suisse trimmed the oil group to neutral from outperform, mentioning a lack of near-term momentum.

Microsoft Corporation(NASDAQ:MSFT) shares added 0.22% to $27.11 in pre-market trading. Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) intends to add additional retail outlets from where its tablet, Microsoft Surface, will be sold. Moreover, Microsoft is transforming more than a few holiday stores into permanent Microsoft retail outlets.

Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) shares slipped-1.60% to $529.69 in pre-market trading.Federal adjudicators in Delaware found Thursday that Apple Inc. violated three patents belonging to a company partially owned by Nokia Corporation and Sony Corporation of America, in a case that demonstrates how rapidly the dynamics of patent licensing and litigation are changing.

The jury concluded that Apple’s iPhone breached three patents associated to mobile-device technologies possessed by MobileMedia Ideas LLC.

Nokia Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:NOK) shares added 1.60% to $3.82 in pre-market trading whereas Sony Corporation (ADR)(NYSE:SNE) shares were inactive.
